I like the song. The first "why do you lie to me" needs some more control. It feels like you didn't have enough air to push, too quiet to get the power in your voice. The Chorus is amazing as always. i think, this is your strongest Talent! I like the Drum track a lot! The guitars are fitting well and present. The Wah sits perfect! The Keys are awesome and the background is full without being too busy. Very cool song!

This is really a great sound. The atmosphere set by the synth and bass is so perfect for this song, and the wah on the guitar is a nice touch. I really love the guitar lines in the background as the song continues .... it reminds me of the ambulance siren in a foreign movie sound.
The only thing that struck me as not quite fitting was the drum track. The drum part was excellent .... perhaps could have used a bit more fills, but that's not the issue. To me, the drum track stuck out in an unnatural way because the rest of the mix had a dark, eerie ambience, but the drum track was very dry and upfront. I don't know enough about recording to know what to suggest, and I know this doesn't make sense, but it's like they should have been hit harder yet moved further towards the back of the band, and then dressed in a little of the dreamscape that the other tracks were wearing.

very well done
not my fav style of music, but i can appreciate something so well done at this high level of quality
it has a really massive feel to it especially in the chorus but without being sludgy
the guitar sounds very cool ... nice to have it come in that way to add interest as the song gets 'familiar' ... made me wish there was a ripping solo low in the mix during the last 20 seconds or so

That's excellent feedback you guys! I'll work on those things today. I was more worried about the chord changes than anything because they're a little different than I normally gravitate too.
Re the drums. Those AD drums are hard to get to sound like they're being hit hard but I think I can get there with them. Thanks again and glad you think it's worth working on.

Aye, it's a yay! Very industrial cool feel.
I might have set the bass level a little off on the system here, but my initial impression was that the low freqs of the synth kinda fought with the bass drum.. But at the same time, it kinda makes the track sound deep and big. Fine line I guess?

Forget my comments about the drums. I listened earlier today with headphones. I just listened again through some external speakers and the drums sound great!
Either you remixed the drums or I need new headphones ..... rock on!

disclaimer: Im entitled to my own opinion of course. I felt that the piano synth at the first part of the song was to thin/sinister sounding for my tastes. maybe later on in the song would be better. I was wondering where the cymbols in drums went. definitely an evil song. I like the breakdown where its only vox and bass. I like that you are using the drum toms more. Id add some backup vox for good measure. Also vox could use some delay/reverb in the chorus I think, for this style of music, ie too much time-time-time (echo). Drums sound very programmed, need more variation to sound like real drums, but I think you are going for synthesizer sound with the drums I think.

Thanks everdrone, I'm taking notes and will work on those things. If I get some cash I'm going to hire a drummer to play on some songs, maybe this one is a candidate too.

Cool man thanks! Actually Depeche Mode is an influence but this track is not my normal approach these days. I do use a lot of underground house music synth type stuff in my tracks though.
