Nice sounding amps. I think there are a couple of versions, some have a 12AX7 in the preamp and others are all SS, but both sound good (I could be wrong, but that's what I seem to remember).
Have a look at Harmony Central Legacy reviews. Lots of reviews of this amp. People seem to love it. A friend played through one a couple of months back and told me it was really good and he owns one of the best old Marshalls I've ever heard. At that kind of price I'd buy it sight unseen if I was sure it was in good working order. The company was bought by Gibson - their Goldtone range were originally Trace Elliotts.
Trace Elliot produced several versions of this amp..the first run was a prototype All Tube Supertramp 80w..their is not much info about these amps in the late 80s-early 90s..heck..they did not even keep track of the serial numbers or models at that time.!!?? The Tramp is 40w single 12/SS..the SuperTramp is either the single 12/80w..Twin 12/80w..
or the Twin 12/80w Chorus..all were in British Green Tolex. Around the same time they also made a All Tube Bonneville. The last of their guitar amps was the Black Tolex SuperTramp
with One pre-amp tube. I like all the Trace Elliot guitar amps..esp the pre gibson styles.
