Traded My 339 for This!

Well, I finally trade my 339 for a 335, and it is sweeeeeet!
It's a 2012 Memphis Dot Reissue Custom Shop and the neck is even nicer than my 339. Didn't think that I'd find a neck I liked more than that 59, but...I did. It's fat but not too fat...perfect!
Anyway, I played it through a Twin when I got it home and as much as I dig that 339...this is soooo much more comfortable for me. The balance is just perfect, plus I could never play up high on my 339 cuz my hand wouldn't fit in the cut-out. I am very happy!

I was looking for red, but I also wasn't anticipating that someone would trade a Dot Reissue even up for my 339. I wasn't going to be picky, but you are right...I am diggin' the black.
I had entertained trading for a red 333 that was banged up but had some nice upgrades. So glad I didn't do that! I think this is the same neck profile that I have on a 95 LP Studio, which I totally love. I have the LP in my classroom, so I'll have to wait compare when I get to school on Monday. I'll get to run it through a DRRI then as well. I know that's gonna be fun!

335's are so perfect ergonomically.
Nice combo man! 335 into a twin is my main rig too!
The necks on the modern 335s are pretty amazing too. such a nice profile.

Ooooh no! I am not a Bigsby guy at all.
Love Strats, but that's where I draw my "whammy line in the sand." Everyone else gets a hardtail.
I'm weird that way...no hardtail Strats and no whammy anything else for me. I guess if someone gave me a Setzer I'd keep the Bigsby, but...I don't see that happening anytime soon.
In fact...I think I have a Bigsby somewhere in my studio...want it?

That thing is all class. Black and nickel is such a nice look.

And I love ES-335's. I don't even care to change the pickups because 57 Classics always sound good through my amps. It's a definitive Gibson tone. Although, Seth Lovers are the logical direction to go if you change them.

Nowadays, trading is such a good option for getting something new without having to fork out any money.

I should list a bunch of gear with a list of things I want, and see who Emails me.

I've lost interest in plain red 335's. Anymore they look like a big tomato on a stick. I think red 335's really need a flame top to work visually for me.

+1. Good! A bigsby would clutter up the guitar. They're so big and heavy.
