I have a compiled PDF of 12 or so schematics of a few supposed TW express layouts and in it there are a few inspired builds that are similar but voiced warmer it looks like.

I've played a couple of real 'Wrecks... express & some blackface's...

None of them are anything like a Matchless. Not even close. Those amps are fairly unique, and dare I say... not something that everyone will love. As a matter of fact, the one blackface combo really only does one or two things... best of which is a searing, liquid sustain with crazy definition. It's SUPER hard to control as a player. Most guys can't reign it in and end up with noise & feedback...

An amp you have to "learn" to play to some degree... but it's KILLER for that '60s Santana vibe.

Germs Tone Shop Wrecked head... that's got some of the texture & vibe, but it's easier to play and what little time I spent with it at the NY AMp show it seemed to be far versatile, if not just as loud!

Still thinking about that one...
