Travel Rig / Practice

I think I'd like to have at least a simple volume control on the device itself. Having just on the app seems like a PITA.

Me too.

What happens in a few years when the app is no longer updated to support current phones and operating systems?

At best it's a hassle. At worst the device is paperweight. These connected apps are great in they allow a lot of control and display over devices that would take a lot of space and expense to build into the hardware. That is until the app stops working and the app is critical for a device to be useful.

I've been travelling with a Guitar, Digitech trio pedal, and pair of headphones. The trio works great as a metronome with the build in drum machine, it has OK amp sim kinda stuff, and is pretty awesome for practicing improvisational stuff with the bass going on.

there ya go

I just ordered a bluetooth adapter to make the headphone out wireless so I can stand up without dragging everything off the table

You should cancel that order ASAP.

Bluetooth has far too much latency (even the low latency version) to be used when tracking the audio of your guitar in real time.

There'e no great solution for wireless audio that is low latency, good audio quality, stereo, etc. Sad but true.

Sometimes I will take my Trio.

Just sent it back
you are right
It said low latency, but it was almost a second of delay.

Nice setup. Been traveling for years as well and just got back out. My go to is now Roland Micro Cube. Perfect little hotel room amp with aux in to jam with songs or YouTube loops
