Traynor Bassmaster clip ( plexified)

Bullet Proof Toneologist
I just was messin around last night and figured I would toss a clip of my Bassmaster and a Strat, the pickup is an 8.2 A2 wind a friend from the Plexipalace made for me. There is some extra sizzle due to a speaker that needs to be replaced but the feel of the tone is there. The Bassmaster has been plexified a bit and was recorded with the Mass set at 5 through two Legend 122 speakers. The amp is extremely Marshall flavored, one of my best gear scores ever at 260.00 bucks.

Open open and open....wow what a machine.
What pickup is that again??
Sounds great man!

(I just A2'ed my 59b on my Wolfgang.....quite an improvement)

Thanks Rid,

The pickup was wound by Highorder at the palace site. He has been messing for a bit and came up with some really nice sounds. It is simliar to an A2 59 but a little warmer and more open. I am a big fan of that combo as you know, I hope you dig the A2 59 as much as I have.

Hey Guys thanks a ton, tough amp to beat for the price.

I just threw up an alternative mix and took out the mic that was on the bad speaker so it has more clarity now, it should sound better.

Great playing! And awesome tone. Damn, someone sold one locally just before I bought my Traynor YCV40 but I disregard it, I didn't know these. Now I do. No wonder why the guy sold it so quickly. Someone knew better.

Re: Traynor Bassmaster clip ( plexified)

Thanks!!

Yeah they are a hell of an amp, I changed the value of the volume pots from 4 meg to 1 meg, added a 330 uF cap across V2 and had a bias pot installed. Very minor stuff, and the amp just screams. They are among the best vintage amps ever made in terms of reliability and tone. Very odd to me folks are scrambling to get one, if you need a Plexi and don't have the 3 grand plop 200.00 on one of these and be good to go.
