These seem pretty nice. Anyone have one? How do these things sound? Loud enough for small gigs? Any info appreciated :)

I bought a Traynor YCV-40 last year and I LOVE IT!!! It's unusually loud for being 40 Watts but again, it's 40 watts with TUBE power and a Class-A circuit, which makes a huge difference. The highs sparkle, the overdrive section is warm, thick sounding and sustains like mad, kind of reminds me of the old Marshall Plexi's in overdrive but without having to blow the roof off your house. It's as if someone found a way to put the bast aspects of a Fender Deluxe and a Marshall Plexi in one amp!

Sounds Great! Thanks for the info! Anyone know how these compare to the Tech 21 solid states?

Re: Traynor tube amps?

I posted a thread about that same amp last week. Its a beauty. Not sure how it sounds tho... I wanted to get it, but I'm a Marshall fan...

Get it. Give it a try. Only you can tell whether or not it has the tone you're looking for... and let us know how it is!
