treble bleed circuit

Is there any way to wire a strat to where only the neck and middle pickup are using a treble bleed?
Leaving the bridge pickup unaffected?
Trying to stick with the traditional 1 vol 2 tone strat while using a yjm 250K volume pot
:help:

Re: treble bleed circuit

What about wiring the neck and middle pickup to a shared volume and tone pot, and the bridge to a separate volume pot? Still the same physical layout, so it would look traditional.

Re: treble bleed circuit

An alternative would be to bump the volume pot to 150k or something and make the tone controls no-load. That way you wouldn't need a treble bleed so long as the tones are on 10. It would also tame the shrillness of the bridge pickup that is often characteristic of Strats. If you want to keep the YJM pot you'd have to be able to live with the slightly brighter neck and middle tone.

You would have to install a super switch, and use one of the four selector banks to complete the treble bleed circuit when the neck or middle are selected, while causing it to be open when the bridge is selected.

Re: treble bleed circuit

I was thinking the same thing as above, but $20 for a switch just so you can make one minor change is both a bit pricey and a waste of all the other possibilities that super switches come loaded with.
