treble booster pedals and bright channel amps

whats the difference between a treble booster pedals and bright channel amps?

I was looking at the schematics for treble booster pedals and they look simular to a fuzz face one or 2 transistors.

What is the difference between a fuzz face VS a treble booster?
(Does the treble booster has a feedback capacitor or more capacitors on the input and output or something?)

What can i do modifications to my preamp to make it had different bright switches and a treble boost to it?
(what makes a preamp have a treble boost mostly?)

Whats the theory behind making a preamp have more brightness and a treble boost?

Most early fender 50's tweed amps have a bright channel but they all sound different what was the general trick fender used for there bright channels?

Can a Graphic EQ be like a treble boost pedal?

The treble boost pedal makes the high frequency fuzzy or squarewave only right?

If i put a Treble control on my fuzz face would that be the same as a treble boost they seem to be different because some fuzz or distortion pedals have tone knobs but they are not like a treble boost pedal to me its more like fingers down a chalk board

It will boost the treble, but it won't sound like a treble booster.

Not really. A Dallas Rangemaster was basically an early gain device that could be used to brighten up an amp, but alot of people used it as an overdrive. Eventually some people started modding theirs to sound less harsh and it became more of a mid boost, then along came the TS-808, which was alot smoother and had more sustain, then out went the Rangemaster.

It was basically an early line booster with no headroom... it overdrove easily, helped to overdrive the amp in the process, and did a better job of boosting the top end than it it did the bottom.

It was meant to boost darkly voiced British amps so they could compete with the new, brighter sounding Marshalls.

One sounds like a gain pedal with a tone knob and the other sounds like a treble booster.

It was meant to boost darkly voiced British amps so they could compete with the new, brighter sounding Marshalls.

To add to this, there are some notable examples of people using treble boosters with the early Marshalls, which were notoriously boomy. Clapton with a Dallas Rangemaster into a JTM45 combo and Blackmore with a Hornby Skewes treble booster into a Marshall Major. Marshalls didn't really get overly bright until a little later in their evolution. There was certainly a lot of classic tones from the late 60's/early 70's which had a little germanium something-or-other between guitar and amp!
