It's made by Greg Fryer, who does other TBs, Deacy amps, and AC30 mods to BM spec: http://shop.fryerguitars.com/. The boosters are pretty pricey as they're on the booteek end of the spectrum – I think I paid about $180-190 back when I got it. But, in the end, if you pay for it, it's worth it to you, so for me, yes, as it's on whenever I play.
Fwiw, it works very well with my script logo Phase 90, there's no loss of gain when the latter is engaged.
