Treble Boosters?

Re: Treble Boosters?

That looks really cool! Who makes it? Was it expensive?

It's made by Greg Fryer, who does other TBs, Deacy amps, and AC30 mods to BM spec: http://shop.fryerguitars.com/. The boosters are pretty pricey as they're on the booteek end of the spectrum – I think I paid about $180-190 back when I got it. But, in the end, if you pay for it, it's worth it to you, so for me, yes, as it's on whenever I play.

Fwiw, it works very well with my script logo Phase 90, there's no loss of gain when the latter is engaged.

How do you turn it on and off? :scratchch

Re: Treble Boosters?

How much a Hornby Skewes is different from a Rangemaster in terms of tone? construction? are they two completely different beasts?

Re: Treble Boosters?

You don't. It's always on, just like how Brian uses a TB.

Voila. You have to remember to unplug the lead from 'in'. Forget sometimes :banghead:, but it's not voracious for batteries. Last time I changed it was nearly 8 months ago or something.
