Trem pedal

I need a new trem pedal I I'd like to know some suggestions. I'm looking for a trem sound like on an ac30. I don't need any other waves. I want a relatively simple pedal with nothing no fancy. Should be well built. True bypass. Thanks!

Re: Trem pedal

The Duncan Shape Shifter is a great trem pedal. What it does better than simpler tremolo pedals is give you the ability to control everything about the sweep, as well as a tap tempo to keep it in time with the music.

If you find one being liquidated or used, scoop it up.

Re: Trem pedal

I can't recommend the Strymon Flint enough. Three great trems with external tap tempo support, plus three great sounding reverbs. You can change the order of effects to feed trem into reverb, or vice versa. The harmonic trem can even do a pretty good univibe sound with the intensity maxed and the speed low.

Re: Trem pedal

I have a twin reverb and it has the vib so I don't need anything vib. I just want a nice warm trem

Twin Reverb says...vibrato, but that is a tremolo effect. You will not get any pitch modulation with a Fender 'vibrato' channel. What you are asking for sounds like a Tremolo...which the Twin has. (Only its labeled wrong. LOL!)

I guess what I want is the different wave of trem then... Like the vox wave...not the twin

Re: Trem pedal

'Vibrato'...is a changing of pitch (Such as done with your guitars 'tremolo' arm, mis-named as well.) 'Tremolo' is the changing of volume...such as your 'Vibrato' channel on the amp. They are indeed interchangeable is conversation, but not in function. Cheers!~

Re: Trem pedal

Ok now that fenders messing with my brain is over haha, I want a trem pedal with a wave
Like a vox trem

Re: Trem pedal

I'm not sure what the Vox Trem sounds like, but check out the Mooer Trellicopter for an inexpensive, but very nice tremolo. The Bias control lets you dial in the wave shape you are after, and it's extremely powerful. I constantly get compliments on my tremolo tone.

Make sure to listen to it all, the bias knob has a very large effect on the style of tremolo.

Re: Trem pedal

Ok, the effect in the Twin is tremolo (a change in volume). An AC-30 has trem (a change in volume) AND vibe (a change in pitch)...

I'm thinking you are looking for the vib sound and that being the case there are very, very few vib pedals out there that sound like amp vib, most vib pedals are like a chorus pedal with a super fast speed.

That Vox pedal does have a vib sound, there are a few others...

The EH Wiggler comes to mind.

Re: Trem pedal

I have a Wiggler. Not sure if it sounds like an AC30 or not, but it sounds beautiful! Lots of fun...

Re: Trem pedal

I must say - I do not know this AC30 Trem/Vib sound....

What exactly is the wave form descrip for that? SIne/Square? Even/lopsided????

Re: Trem pedal

The OLD JD Rotovibe is pretty fun, no idea how that compares to an AC30 though. I'll shut up now.
