Not at all. I have this unusual combo in my unlikely guitar. Peavey T-60 with Parallel Axis Distortion Trembucker (b) and Screamin Demon with all screw poles.

BTW it sounds great! I can pull off Death Metal in a sleeper of a guitar. This can also do jazz nicely which is what this guitar is more geared for. Good luck,
