You can take a Dremel with a "small" (small compared to the diameter of the broken arm) metal cutting bit and CAREFULLY cut a notch in the piece of the arm that remains in the tremelo bridge. Work slowly and cautiously. This is an accuracy, not speed event. ;) Think that you are trying to turn the threaded portion of arm that remains in the trem bridge into a flathead screw. You may have to make multiple passes to cut it to depth. Once you've got the notch finished, just take a small enought screwdriver and screw it out of the bridge. Be sure to protect the instrument appropriately. I haven't had to use this technique on an instrument before but it has served me well many times on other things.

Good Luck!

Why aren't they made out of titanium or something? Why the steel/aluminum junk? Peple know they're gonna break.

Oh and in response to JamesPaul, you can use some sort of tape around the area as to not scratch or harm your finish. A screw broke off in my headstock yesterday in fact, took two hours to get the s.o.b. out.

happened to me too man, not a big deal. if they make em cheap you gotta expect that.
i remember drilling a small hole in the busted piece that was stuck in and slowly using a screwdriver to get it out. really a ball buster i remember.

Check out Callaham trems. the bar they make will NOT break. plus the trem is a work of art. Best vintage trems out there.
