Tried something different and am very surprised at how good they are!

Have been running a Perpetual Burn and a pair of Carvin Kiesel AP 11's in my 2017 Kiesel DC 135. Because of how the body was routed a normal single wont fit as the body is not routed for the bump when a normal true single wires. I like the smooth and big sounding AP 11's a lot but really kind of wished I had more of a real strat like tone in the neck and middle at times. Well last week someone listed a set of Kiesels on Reverb that had been pulled out of a guitar CHEAP that I have wanted to try so I grabbed them. The Alnico II Beryllium bridge I already knew I liked a lot from the set I have in my DC 600 but it was the singles that sealed the deal. Mark Kiesel is now the Pickup guru there and the listing showed a set of the unobtainable scatter wound Alnico II Marks singles. A $130 up charge on a new build and normally not available except on a build. Got them and dropped them in last week played them out this morning. WOW those Marks singles give my Surfer II's a really good run in my Silverado. Very defined and smooth with gain and also very sweet and glassy clean. Mostly not impressed with Kiesel Carvin pickups other than the AP11's and the C22 line but both the Beryllium in the bridge and the Marks singles are shockingly good. Who woulda thunk it? This set in this guitar blew me away this morning.
Here is the low down on the Marks singles and they are outstanding!

A clip from this morning running the Marks singles in my Kiesel DC through the old Carvin X 50 head. REALLY impressed with these and would put them in the class with teh Texas Hot and Surfer Antiquities. Was a HUGE surprise at just how good these were! May at some point build a Delos with a set of these and a custom harness ( 300K volume tones on the neck and bridge only and cap values similar to what's in my Silverado).

Off the cuff clip at the end with the Beryllium bridge same rig. Really liking these new more vintage themed Kiesel pickups! Still absolutely hate their modern toned stuff like the Lithium's ( think i would need to take some to be able to stand playing them!) but REALLY liking these!
