on the cheap a Boss Mega Distortion pedal may get you there..... thru a Traynor amp a local Pro guitarist who uses Boogie amps showed me this pedal and how well it can sound like a Boogie..... but like a lot of pedals it does not sound the same thru all amps... i found it does not sound as good thru my Peavey Classic 30 and 50 amps as it did thru the Traynor Blue amp we were using.... i was shocked how good it sounded thru the Traynor....

I used to own a Rocktron Zombie, but I thought it sounded thin for my tastes.

Maybe it'll work for your setup, though.

Do some research the the AMT California Sound or Extreme III pedals, if you're bored.

even the grunge pedal i had was pretty high gain. i quit using them though because i ended up with a real boogie! my search was over then...

they're both pretty versatile...in a rip your face off kind of way

yeah i have the death metal pedal from, it needs gain controls
