Triple Shot Flat Pickup Rings on Gibson SG Style Guitar

I've seen comments where people say if you have an sg that you need to use the flat triple shots. What I don't understand is that the SG's body and neck are at an angle so the stock p/u rings are different heights and the bottoms are slanted. How do the flat triple shots work in this case as they look perfectly flat to me.

For the record, I have a DeArmond JetStar that I'm putting a pair of p rails on and want to use the triple shot rings. The body is much the same as the SG in that it angles downward from the base of the neck.

Thanks in advance for any replies on this.

+1 on using the Triple Shots.

Your pickup rings are slanted on the top not the bottom. The Triple Shots are also slanted on the top. The difference is that your bridge mounting ring is taller than the neck ring, but the Triple Shots are the same height. This doesn't negatively affect their perfomance at all...you just raise yout bridge pup a little higher above the ring.

Ahhh...I SEE said the blind man. Cool, as long as the pickup angle is right then I don't mind the pickup stickup up over the ring a little higher. Thanks for the info!
