Triple Shot mounting rings

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Ordered mine (and P-rails set) from Wymore (fantastic folks to do business with) about a week after you did, but TSs still not shipping.

Anyone from SD letting on when these will ship?

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

I was told this week as well just yesterday. I will be at SD on Monday so if they haven't shipped yet I'll take Frank hostage until I get some!!! :-)

BTW, thanks to all you guys that pre-ordered these. I'll get them to you just as soon as I get them in!!

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Just bumping this so people can post as soon as they get them.

Frank, how soon before we see the creme batch?

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Oh, so when I placed my order a week ago it was a PRE-order?

Musta missed the notice about that on the order page - here I was hoping they'd have come in the mail yesterday (Saturday) and be waiting for me when I got home from work.

Wow. I usually don't list anything for sale until it's in my hand. But that's just me.

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

While we're on the subject of these, have you guys thought about adding a Volume slider to the other side of the ring? That'd be perfect for nutjobs like me who order Custom Shop guitars without knobs because it looks great on paper but doesn't pan out so well in reality

Maybe a little piezo-electric strip that you slide your thumb or pinky along (depending on how you mount it) or a miniature fader-type thing. Maybe a teeny-tiny disc/dial/thumbwheel-type setup?

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

I would order several pair of creme switch rings. Particularly for the double-cut LP I've got that just has 1 volume & 1 tone. Would still offer the versatility I've got in other guitars, while keeping it relatively 'stock' in its' appearance.

I'll keep an eye on this post to see if they'll be out anytime soon.

..?

You mean like the ultimate warrior in your avatar? I remember the "DOH!" moment like it was yesterday :laugh2::beerchug:

BTW, have you seen that the Leprechaun has already ripped it off? :34::lame:

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Yes, I saw it on Fat Bastard's site. Someone posted about it on the JCF a while back. I emailed and asked him politely not to use my design, as it's a Jackson Exclusive (I designed it, I say who builds it). He emails back wanting to speak to a lawyer about it, then saying "we can settle this like gentlemen".

WTF? Pistols at dawn? A duel to the death with rapiers?
I thought we were settling it like "gentlemen": I asked politely, informed him it was my design, proved it was my design, so that means he refrains from building it. That's "gentlemanly".

But, screw ER, he's gonna rip off whoever he can.

I'm certainly not appalled that someone liked my design, but they went to Ed f'n Roman to have it built instead of Jackson. That's just mentally-defective.

Sorry about the confusion. I listed them because I was getting requests from so many people wanting to pre-order. I did not show them as in stock though.

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Haven't tuned in to FoxNews this morning - does anyone know if Frank is being held hostage?

Perhaps SD shipped the TSs out last week and we narrowly avoided that whole ugliness.

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

I ordered my P-Rails and triple shot rings too on March 28th. Great prices as well from Wymore. The cost of a set of P Rails was $50 more than buying 1 from my local Music store. Told all my guitarist friends here in the office and they are anxiously waiting to hear it.

Frank is safe!! I was at the factory today and the initial order of flat rings has been shipped. The LP rings (at least mine) have not shipped yet but should very shortly!!

BTW, had a great time today having lunch with Seymour, MJ, Scott Miller and Seymour's son Derek. I'll post more on this with pictures in the next couple days. Also spent about 20 minutes with MJ in the Custom Shop going over how she does things and looking at a few new things in the works. More on that later as well!!

Id like to see more pics of your axe! Im assuming from the above discussion, you have no knobs on it?? You using a volume pedal???

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Thanks BR. All I've got online is the full-shot like in my Avatar. It's the best shot of it anyway

But yup, it's completely knobless. It's either On (plugged in) or Off (unplugged).

I use an Ernie Ball High Gain Volume Pedal, though I don't have a band to play it in at the moment, so it's not really an issue.

Wymore - I understand they weren't shown as In Stock. They weren't specified as Not In Stock/Pre-Order, either. I would rather have known that up front so I could postpone my order and have the choice to buy them from a dealer that had them in-hand once they were actually available. Possibly one that I could drive to instead of one 2 Time Zones away.

To my fellow Forumites: While I do appreciate your contributions in making this a site worth visiting, and I fully understand loyalty to a "forum's favorite dealer", I find it in poor taste to have answered my question (in the other TS thread) "who has the Triple Shots in stock?" with a link to any dealer when they were not even shipped. The only answer to that question should have been "no one has them yet, but please support our forum dealer at .... once they are shipped". I most likely would have bought them from Wymore anyway since they are the "forum's favored", but as I said, it was in poor taste to spam for your buddy when no one had them.

Re: Triple Shot mounting rings

Cheaper isn't an issue, I'm sure they've got the best price.

I admit, I did not see the Back Ordered notice on the item description page. I was more interested in obtaining the item than reading down past the Order button.

Bump...

Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Any further developments (Shipment of the LP rings?)? Thanks...
