Possibly, but don't expect anyone at Duncan to give away "the secret" :lol:
I've been tempted to dissect one of the ones I have (the recalled ones) and find a replacement, but once it's apart, it'll stay that way :lol:
I started looking for replacement DPDT switches the other day and got bogged down in dozens of Spec Sheets for various sliders, then got carried away looking for stuff on etching your own PC boards, then dug around in my closet for old computer parts I could hack up and practice etching on and found an old notebook where I had drawn a pickup ring with mini-toggles sticking out the side about 15 years ago (I think I built it, too, but the switches were too bulky under the ring and hit the pickup), and then finally got bored and played video games :lol:
Once production gets rolling on these, you guys need to seriously see about integrating Schatten-style thumbwheels onto them. I got one for the guitar in my avatar (since I had it built with no knobs) and it rocks.
I'd also suggest getting into the pickguard business with these switches built-in, but you'd go with Fender specs when they need to be Charvel SoCal specs :lol:

Gahh!!
So I couldn't wait for the Triple Shots anymore since I have a big gig this Saturday. I sent it off to my tech with some 500K push/pulls. But he's had it for two weeks! He said it would be ready Monday and now it's Wednesday with no response to my emails. :banghead:
I'm sure it's fine and I'll have it by the weekend :eyecrazy: but all this waiting is giving me a headache.

Yeah, learned my lesson. I was all set to do it with the Triple Shots but the push/pulls were a little daunting. Of course in the time he's had it, I could have wired them over and over until I got it right.
On the plus side, I just sold some stuff which will cover a new Vox AC15 for the gig! I may have to run my strat through it but it should sound great!

After digging through the switch manufacturer's site and locating that part (30-9164), it won't work. That's for screw mounting, and these are pc mounted.
The rings appear to have a .153" x .08" hole for the switch head. It should be a sub-mini switch, but the site is all PDFs so finding the right one will take forever (there's almost 300 PDFs with 5-6 switches each).

Well, I took the plunge and installed one. Frank's right, they don't so squat :lol:
I started by putting each wire on their respective spots on the board, tapped the pickup poles with a screwdriver and got a really weak signal. Flipped the switches, no change.
So then I combined the R+W on the Red pad and Green+Bare on the Grnd pad and got Series (I think - sounded like regular full-humbucking - coulda been parallel for all I know). Flipped the switches, no change.
I was going back in to move the R+W to the White pad when I noticed 3 wires on the ribbon cable to the board were completely broken off the board. Only one connected was the last one (red stripe).
So now I've got a broken AND defective TripleShot :lol:
Going to try a few experiments with it, like severing the board links between the switches and wiring them directly (maybe get splits that way? it'd be 2 SPDT switches then, so I'm sure to get On/Off at least), or maybe see if I can reconnect the ribbon cable or extend it to the control cavity. Maybe replace it with length of 4-conductor cable and run that to the control cavity.

I was looking at wymore guitars, their site, and I saw a pic of the triple shots. there, I saw a thick black wire coming out of the rings. I have just a simple question:
will it be a 2wire conductor, or a 4 wire conductor?
oh, and whats the current status of these things?

It is my understanding after speaking with John that the lead coming from the switch is two conductor. If you check out the third photo down in post #63 (page 4) of this thread, you can see the PC board and the two conductor switch output lead.

You wire the pickup's 5 wires (Red, White, Black, Green, Bare) to the small circuit board, which handles all the different pickup switching options (Series, Parallel with itself, split to inner coil, split to outer coil), and the ring itself only has 3 wires to the controls - Hot (White), and 2 Grounds (Black and Bare).

Four conductor output from the switch would serve primarily to defeat the function of the switch, wouldn't you say?

Yup. Wouldn't make much sense to have 4 conductors coming off the ring.
