Triple Shot User Guide?

Hi there, is there any sort of 'user guide' for the triple shots, so I can tell what they're supposed to do, assuming that I write them correctly? Thanks!

It gives you all the sounds a humbucker can make.

[O ] [O ] = slug coil

[ O] [ O] = screw coil

[O ] [ O] = parallel coils

[ O] [O ] = series coils (normal humbucker)

I was picturing one of the switches controlling series/parallel, and the other selecting coils, this makes much more sense!

Depends on whether you're referring to neck or bridge pup.

Don't you have to change the wire colors to get the neck to match the direction of the coils? I thought if you wire it default colors on both, it's going to behave the same for slug/screw?

If you mount the Triple Shot with the switches on top, then when the switches are both toward the neck the adjustable coil (screw coil) is active. So that "Standard Wiring" works (meaning the switches point toward the active coil) for the neck pup where the screw coil is toward the neck. But in the bridge pup where the screws are normally toward the bridge you'd have to use the "Reverse Wiring" to have the switches pointing toward the active coil.

I finally got my Triple-shots and Seth Lovers, and I'm ready to wire them up. Thank you for your last post, Doc, I was about to ask that question, with the adjusting screws in different orientations, and you pre-answered it for me! Official diagram, for reference:

IMHO, they sound great! I've been playing around with the different combinations of split coils, and not only do they stand on their own just fine (I've played around with a few splits that didn't), the different combinations all work really well together. A friend of mine was playing it, put the neck pup in parallel, and said it really reminded him of a 175 he used to have, with a P90. One of the nice things for me is that there are only (??) 16 possible switching combinations, so I won't spend half of my life dicking around with settings (as I have a bad tendency to do!).

Yeah, I've definitely had a couple projects that didn't quite turn out as anticipated, so I'm really pleased with the results...

That's very cool! What do you think of the 6-way switch? I keep looking at those, and the 10-way blade. It just seems to me, that with the 6-way, it would be a little difficult to determine what position you're in, on the fly. Have you experienced that, or is it more straight forward than I'm thinking it would be?

Okay, my math was off. There are 16 possibilities with the pickups combined with the pickup selector, plus 4 more more for each individual pup for a total of 24 possible coil combinations...
