Hi Guys,

True Bypass Pedals VS True Hardwire Bypass Pedals

1) Whats the Difference ?

2) True Bypass Pedals VS True Hardwire Bypass Pedals..... Is there a Difference in Tone when bypassed ?

Thanks,

Re: True Bypass VS True Hardwire Bypass

Unfortunately, these terms have been rather mixed up by marketing. Some companies market their true bypass pedals as true hardwire bypass. The last one I remember for sure coming across is the MXR Carbon Copy, it is in fact true bypass, but marketed using the term true hardwire bypass. Other pedals in the MXR line have been traditionally hardwire bypass, like the Dynacomp.

Here you go, explains it better than I ever could.
