i have an ibanez acoustic that needs a neck cal. real bad, and i thought to myself "ok, i successfully did this to my SG, let's do it to the acoustic". i did the trick where you press down on the 1st and 13th frets then tap to 6th fret to check for relief, and there was no "click" when i tapped the 6th fret. when i eyeballed the neck, i found that it actually has a sufficient amount of backbow (which explains the terrible fret buzz).
when i attempted to loosen the truss rod to create more relief, it didn't want to budge. i've been told not to force it if it won't turn, so i didn't.
are there any tricks or anything i can do to make this work? i won't take it to a tech or spend any money on it because honestly i don't really care and i hardly ever even touch my acoustic. i was just curious to see if i can improve it's playability.
