Hey everyone, this is my first guitar video ever and it's just to test out the video and sound. Let me know if you have any tips for me, thank you.


Audio: American Stratocaster to MXR EQ to Fender Deluxe Reverb then using a Shure SM58 (using a windscreen) into Scarlett 212 using Logic Pro

For context, I'm getting a custom shop pickup in a few weeks and I'd like to share a few clips so I've just started to look into how to record video and audio properly.

Tone is good, reverb is a little heavy and "airy", lots of air sound. You might try using the built in amps in Logic Pro too, amazing how you can edit the sound after recording the dry DI track. To me real amps always sound better in the room when I'm playing but in recordings the DAW amps are always cleaner. For the best of both worlds, record the amp sound and record a dry DI signal simultaneously!

Thanks man great advice! I bought a split cable a long time ago and now I remember this is what I wanted to try.

I agree with Alex it is always easy to add reverb in production. Go with two signals you will have more to play around with. Sounds good so far, I am looking forward to seeing where you go with it.
