Just discovered another contender, the marshall dsl1hr. Sounds great one YouTube and is even cheaper than the jet City ones. And maybe 1 watt is (for me) a big benefit because I was thinking I might need to buy a jettenuator to go with a 20 watt tube amp for home use

Thanks for the soundclip! Sounds really good, but it still seems to me I would be better off with the jca 20hv. I think I need just little more clean headroom.

I was running the gain at around 3 or so on mine so could have backed off a touch and gotten a little cleaner. I like some hair in my cleans and this thing gets very sweet and nice if you soften your attack or roll the volume back just a touch. However the other side is a fire breather so if you don't need that side the little 20 might be the amp for you. I bought my head for the fat high gain tones I heard but the GREAT cleans were a huge surprise and a big +.
