Tuner for setting intonation

Re: Tuner for setting intonation

while not as "good" as a strobe, my Korg DT-7 has always been excellent.

+1

I bought the DT-7 for its Buzz Feiten Tune System setting. Funnily enough, I have not had much cause to use this feature. ;)

Sometimes, it is possible to hear a tuning discrepancy even though your digital tuner says that your guitar is in tune. For me, regardless of whatever tuner I have to hand, the final arbiter is my ears.

I should mention that I play a lot of fretless bass. This provides excellent training for moment by moment intonation assessment. :naughty:

Re: Tuner for setting intonation

You know - I always find the issue of intonation prfection a bit silly. It is NEVER going to be perfect. It's like measuring something to 1/1000th of an inch that has jagged edges. It will never be more than 1/16 accurate. (Buzz Fieten system excluded)

12th fret/harmonic is a great way, and I've never had trouble being satisfied with the results from a simple korg tuner.
