Turning a Fender Highway One HSS strat into a versatile rock n roll animal?

Re: Turning a Fender Highway One HSS strat into a versatile rock n roll animal?

SSL-5 and SSL-6 are the Custom and Custom Flat. Only difference is polepiece stagger. Last I heard, all the STK series are flat radius.

Can do it a number of ways. Manually with a split switch, or automatically as part of a super or megaswitch. Make sure your switch is compatible with the task, or get a diagram for it from someone good at guitar wiring. Sorry to punt on this, but it's late, and been a long time since I've messed with diagramming.

In my strat I have 2 SSL1 and a CC/59 hybrid with UOA5 magnet, I actually have a big sound palette with it. The hybrid is a great beast, I think it's the best sounding bridge pickup I've heard in a strat with clean tones, distorted has a P90ish dynamic and string separation I haven't found elsewhere. Not the best pickup for metal, great for classic rock.
