Tutorial: How To Test A Pickup (electric Stuff)

Some times pickups might get damaged or the wires could brake o many other things.

Can somebody submit a tutorial on how to know when a píckup is broken?

Ideas:

Use a normal tester (Not a $1200 fluke)
All procedures properly documented in plain text.
Explanation on what is happening and why in human understandable terms.
Analysis of the results for each test.

I would gladly make the videos... just need to know what I'm doing. I can replace pickups, I understand basic electric concepts ( I know what a resistance is, what the pots do, the capacitors and so...)

If somebody can make the text part I'll make the videos of my learning process.

Who wan't to join me !!! ?????

If you have something already written, just post it here.

Unless I am not uderstanding your request properly, this would be a very short video.

If you wanted to undertake making a video on swapping out pickups on various styles of guitar (e.g., 335 semi-hollow), special wiring/switching concepts, shielding, etc, etc..... then I'm sure you could easily compete in length, and number, with the "Shrek" series.

The SD site has several tutorials of this nature available...you might want to have a look.
