I like the combination of SSL-1 neck and mid and Twangbanger bridge. There is a very different tonality and feel with the alnico 5 vs. alnico 2 mags that takes a bit of adjustment, but it makes for a very versatile setup. If you want a fatter and more versatile bridge tone, then the Twangbanger is a great choice, and I really like the way it fattens up the b/m tone. But, if you want classic 'tweener tones, then an SSL-1 bridge may be the better choice -- a great choice for Buddy Holly bridge tones and Clapton's "Bell Bottom Blues" tone. As much as I love those tones, they aren't me, so the Twangbanger fits my playing better than the SSL-1b does.
