Today i played a 40w Fender Blues Deluxe. It was the thickest and warmest amp i've played in a long time, I used the dirty channel with the gain on 2-3 and cranked the master to keep it clean. Im mainly shopping for a guitar amp with the best clean tone I can afford, and this amp was great for what it was intended to do, but i'm looking for a more british style clean tone. A little more bass, alot more mids, and a nice rounded off top end that still has some clarity and brightess to it. The fender has an FX loop on it, so is there anything I could add to it that will retain the thickness and tube warmth while also giving me the brit tone I'm after?

Re: Tweaking

a. I think that you could try an EQ pedal... Don't have much experience with those pedals so I can't promise anything.

b. Change the speakers to speakers that have more of the features you're after (try Eminence- they have a great range of products).

c. Free PR for Rid... again...
Maybe the Carl Martin ACtone or Plexitone on very mild and low settings... those are Overdrive pedals but many forum members here claim that they are the best british amp voiced pedals around...

d. don't expect miracles.
