Hey, let's see your tweeds. Post stuff you own or amps you are GASing for.

I will start off. Here is my Peavey Classic 20 w/ a 1x15 Rocket Cab loaded with a Celestion G15V-100 Fullback

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

From some of the posts, I assume you are referring to tweed cosmetics vs. circuitry. Here is a picture of my 5e3 Fender clone head (by Boot hill Amps) with both tweed circuitry and cosmetics:

For cosmetic tweed ONLY, I have a Fender BDRI with matching extension cab:

Nice, I wish my 5e3 were just a head. I have a tendency to get combos for no particular reason.

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

My contribution to the thread: '59-60 Gibson GA 18T and a GA 20T Ranger. Both are Gibson's "take" (copy really) of Tweed Era Fenders. The 20T is a Tremolux and the 18T a Vibrolux. Only the 18T has the original Jensen (10"). I have a Celestion Blue in the 20T. Killer amps, with the 18T being rare. It currently has a poorly done tolex, but I'll be sending it off to Mojotone to get better work done.

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

Yes, speaking of Peaveys, I forgot to post my Delta Blues 115 (cosmetically 'tweed')....a great amp, especially considering the price, IMO:

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

I am digging all of the different flavors of amps and brands that are popping up in this thread.

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

My amps are in the process of getting a clean bill of health which includes using F&T filter caps for the most part. The 20T got a Celestion Blue upgrade.

Anyway, since they both have the rear panels off, I decided to take gut shots. Enjoy.

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

Always wanted a tweed bassman. I’m completely out of room now, though. Wish we had a freakin basement

Re: Tweed appreciation thread

^^ I actually might gut my Marshall Lead 12 and put a mini Bassman in it. 2-3 12ax7s, EL82 tubes, and a GZ34 rec.
