Two Channel Power Amp (EL34 + 6L6)

Hi all,

Who does use a stereo power amp that has EL34 on one side and 6L6 on the other?

Does the sound mix together on stage? In general, do you prefer to use 2 different power tubes?

I only use one stereo 4x12.

Thanks!

Wat brand is that sounds like an interesting idea (almost as good as having a 2 channel amp that changes power tubes when u change channels)

I've slaved a 6L6 head into an EL34 head, and had each head running to a separate side of a stereo cab.

Sounds good. Very thick sounding. I can't really explain it better than that.

Mesa makes the Road King amp, which can do that.

The VHT Two/Fifty/Two has an EL-34/6L6 switch for each side.
I think that's was the reason he was asking :laugh2:
