We uploaded two rough mixes to my bands' myspace page. Check 'em out!

We finally finishing recording tonight (yes, I was last to finish). Now down to mixing and mastering. The rough mixes were uploaded to keep the natives from getting restless. Enjoy.

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

Everything about you guys sounds so thick! Super cool, Stephen! Were those cool feedback whirs at the 1:40 mark (Save Me) intentional? Ramrod ending too. :D

The start of Hold On sounds soooo Southern.

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

Awesome guitar sound and feel. I'm going to cry if you tell me that's a POD. I would love to sit in with you guys if I ever happened to be in the area(not that that'll ever happen).

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

I hate not being able to go to MySpace music or SoundClick pages from work.

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

Great stuff! I really liked Save Me. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

Thanks, guys. Save Me was written by the drummer. There are 4 Celtic tracks: 2 rhythm and both leads. The drummer add another rhythm track with a POD (Treadplate).

Hold On was written by the female singer. The drummer wrote the outro vamp. Franklin was originally on that tune, but the sound just didn't work in the mix. I might have tried it again, but he's on vacation. Sooo, that is the SLO 100 Soldano.

I used the Parker Fly Deluxe on Hold On . Lead work is the A2Pro neck pup. Rhythm track is the Brobucker bridge.

Save Me is a combo of LesStrat and the Parker. LesStrat is the main rhythm track (HR bridge) through Franklin with the lead channel of the Twin Tube Classic. There is a second "clean" rhythm with the Parker/Brobucker. The intertwining leads are both the Parker: one A2P, one Brobucker. There is a third rhythm track (dirty) done by the drummer with the POD and an Aria? strat clone.

Thanks again for your kind words of encouragement. We recorded 12 songs, but there is LOTS of mixing to be done (including the two already posted).

Re: Two Tunes from my BanD!

Yay, sounds really cool and promising. I'm definately looking forward to the results after mixing and mastering.

"Save Me" reminds me of one of my alltime favorites that I've heard here on our forum, GearJonesers old band "The Kinship".

And the "Hold On" intro sounded like the Eagles, and then goes of into something more 80's. I think this one can be a really good powerballad as soon as you get some more push into it, like when the chorus kicks in!

Great Work!
