Re: UGD Jam 1
From Robb:
Please remember when listening to anything w/ vocals that we didn't have any type of line out from the little PA head for vocals to my desk, so I had to resort to using the FET condensers on the Mains to get them, and they were distorted in the first place. I'm really sorry about that. I suppose I could've muted them, but it would have robbed the tune of Kat's amazing voice/playing stuff, as well as Pilar's, Val's and whomever else's great singing.
Also - I don't quit know who's who in most tracks, except I DO know that I put Seymour straight up the middle. When you're listening, the stereo spectrum is panned exactly how it was at the venue (looking at the stage) with the Bogner off to the left a little, the Fender Super or whatever it was and the THD a little closer to center, Seymour is center, and Stevo's Plexi just off to the right, a smidge pass the bass. I usually don't pan bass and you won't be able to tell, but I just panned it slightly to the right, where she was at the venue.
The biggest challeng mixing all the tunes has been managing the bleed, and every player pretty much changing previous settings and/or pedals and volume for each tune - but it's been fun! I have to say again, every single one of you who played was fantastic, and made the night magic in it's own right.
I hope you enjoy the little audio documentary of it!
