Ughh.... Choices, choices

Re: Ughh.... Choices, choices

Woah, a lot of responses, thanks all!

I narrowed it down to these two because they have ebony boards (an important thing for me, and it sucks that the custom doesn't come with the ebony boards) and I like the added bonus of satin necks, although thats not a deal breaker for me....

If I can find one of the older white studios with an ebony board in my price range, that could be an option...

dmandude.... I would love to try one at my local GC, but unfortunately I live in Australia, where the selection of guitars isn't as great....

I was only worried about the whole bridge conundrum because I though it would reduce volume? (the strings are quieter near the bridge, so wouldn't the pickups pick that up?)

Thanks all, keep em coming!

If you're looking for ebony an board and satin neck finish, here are a couple more options.

You can usually get these new around 450-500 bucks.

Re: Ughh.... Choices, choices

That's not what I was getting at in my last post, but have a good one. :fing2:

At this point I'm not sure you know what you were getting at, but you are right, the explanation is over complicated.

The pictures are all that should have been needed to tell the whole story. :laugh2:

Re: Ughh.... Choices, choices

i have a super swede, the scale is like a fender, just never gets "the" les paul sound, albeit a nice guitar for the money. a regular swede maybe. you're always gonna want a gibson even after the hagstrom. i say go for the one that's not the signature model, doesnt it have some bullseye pattern thing? I would get tired of looking at that after a while...
