Re: Uh oh... look what I did
Wow!
What a great response to this song! Thanks so much, guys. I really appreciate all the kind words - they mean more to me than you know.
I'm actually laid up pretty hard with the Flu and haven't been able to get online much, but I wanted to check in on the forum and found this! Very nice.
That sounds great. So extremely heavy. Most people would never expect a semi hollow to get a tone anything like that.
Yeah, I enjoy using the "wrong" equipment sometimes. Truthfully, the ES-137 lends itself to those tones very well. Might be the 498T in the bridge.
Very tight and creative Adam...you guys get better and better every song!I think the sound is a tad dark....Maybe "widen" it on izotope could help!
I dig the Harmonies alot...
Thanks! I tend to mix everything a little dark. This is because I don't
really know what I'm doing!
I am impressed. I would never have guessed that was a POD. Maybe my sinuses haven't cleared up yet because my ears can usually detect the POD tone. You really dialed that thing in well. Great job.
Lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of tweaking.
The secret of my POD tone is to use the condenser mic thing, with the greenback cabinet, and a bit of a mid hump from the EQ.
I would love for you guys to be able to find a torche/baroness/high on fire type vocalist for on this stuff. I love it instrumental, but a bit of brutal vocal delivery would make it even better I reckon.
Still, love the tunes.
yeah, we're experimenting more and more with some vocals, kind of Matt Pike meets Isis, and I think there will be much more singing on the full-length.
I know the issue too - we're not like your typical "instrumental" band. There are some leads and stuff, but mostly we're just playing riffs. We're writing and playing as if there WAS singing, but there just isn't any.
