:wow: There are some seriously secksie axes in here!
My humble submission (I need better pics!--w/o pollen). It's anxiously awaiting a Zhangbucker set of replacement pups. Pots and clear black knobs will be installed when they arrive. Ibanez AWD82:

So much character and response - but very prone to feedback if you crank em up.

'90 or '91 Epiphone Sheraton II, made in Korea. A Christmas gift from my father while we were living in Germany. Has been my main guitar since then. First modification was to remove the pickguard: it was ugly and rattled. Also changed the position of the strap button from behind the neck joint to the upper bout.
Changed the pickups around '95 to 59n/JBb, and then to a P-Rails set in 2009. Had to drill holes for switches and make pot/switch holes larger for upgrades.
Switches: Rail/Parallel/P-90
Tone Monster.
Red is a pain to try and photograph and get the flame to pop. I'll try and take some pics outside tommorrow when the sun is shining.

When I changed out the pickups and electronics I made a template of the layout on cardboard then soldered everything together. What I didn't realize was that I had allowed for too much slack in the wires (I was trying to leave enough wire to avoid pulling anything too tight). After it was all back together, and it worked, I decided to leave it that way. The good news is I don't notice it when I'm playing.
There weren't any clips/twist-ties on the inside to take hold of those wires? I know my Epi Sheraton II had them.
And true, when playing they're definitely not noticeable![]()
1977 Ibanez 2630 w/Rio Grande BBQ and Kent Armstrong Vintage in this pic. It's currently got a gold set of EMGs, but I'm thinking of going back to the Rio and a 59b in the neck. For my money, there's no better semihollow out there. I love the bigass factory frets and easy neck profile.
EMG's? WTF is wrong with you? Did one of those big guns go off too near your head son? Did you fall over board and spend too much time without oxygen going to that empty sponge in your head. :cool2:
I'm gonna allow this one in, as shown....but only because I know AT LEAST Jolly and Jo are gonna kick your @$$. :28:
EMG's. Really...:banghead:
Lucky for him it's his guitar, not yours.
Wasn't aware anybody needed to check with you before deciding what pickups they wanted in their guitar. You don't have to play it, why does it matter to you?

Well now you know. In fact, this makes me think we better get a check on all of YOUR guitars. You protest a bit too much. Maybe there are some unsanctioned mods on some of them...:scratchch
