For those who know my likes/dislikes might be bewildered about this amp purchase, but this head can do some great 'classic rock' style tones.

I can't believe those amps have been around for almost 22 years now. I actually bought one new in 1992 and gigged with it for a couple years. Back then, the price was around $650 - $700.

I was curious to read the details of the block letter, signature logo, 6505, 6505+, so I found the wiki page.

This is probably the high'est gain amp i will ever own.
Not even my two dream amps, Electric MVU 120 & Orange Retro 50, had this much gain.
It is a shame that these amps get labeled as "one-trick-ponies" on so many guitar/amp forums.
I alreasy got some fantastic low & med gain Classic Rock tones.
The low end is not as "WOW" as many a 5150 owner said it would be, but then again, i have not really stretched this amp's legs yet.
Lets see what this amp can do at gig'ing volume this week end !

Nah, they suck, bees-in-a-can. You should trade it to me for a ham sandwich and a six pack of OC. I'll put it out of it's misery.
