What would you think a Dimarzio Super Distortion would sound like with an A2 magnet instead? I like the Custom Custom but it is a bit noisy and midrange heavy. I would like to take the throaty/organic elements of a A2 magnet and unite it with the overdriven element of a Super Distortion.

I don't....might make it too warm and mushy...might lack definition. I mean it has ceramic magnet in there and it's pretty warm and chunky already. I think if you were to put a weaker magnet in there it would take that and squash the definition...but I could be wrong I haven't actually tried it. I'm just going by how I know an A2 feels compared to the SuperDistortion which I know how that is as well.
