Guitars are NOT art? Since when? You should see the stuff Fred builds - this is tame in comparison. Fred doesn't build anything normal. And yes - they get played.

It's very demanding to play. But I bet that it sounds huge. It's something that Michael Hedges would have used.

Any guitar with 3 F holes has to rock. I do love when builders build something that is completely wacko. It is like looking at concept cars...they are never designed for mass production, but they try out all kinds of crazy ideas.

Look at the acoustic engineering. That big long curve just wants to carry low end. With f holes for the higher harmonics.

Look closer - there is a 4th F-hole just to the left of Fred's hat - facing down.
