Well I thought I would give everyone an update on the Tele project I ave in the works. I bought a Glendale vintage balckguard bridge in cold rolled steel. His cold rolled steel string ferrules and "twang plus" saddle set which is brass saddles on the the D/G and B/E string plus your choice of You have both a brass and aluminum saddle as both or included if you want more 'tawng" on the low strings use the Aluminum saddle if you want warmer sounding E/A string use the brass. The bridge plus, screws and springs and ferrules are going to clearclad coatings to be E-coated in black but the saddles are going to be left as they are.
As for pick ups I am considering going with Klein pick ups since I have them in two Strats and they have delivered quite well. If I go with Klein I may go with a triple tapped bridge pick up wired to a 3-way mini switch. It would be early 50s output/early 60s output and Esquire output. Maybe a tapped (not triple tapped) neck pick up wired to a push/pull pot.
I am considering Don mare pick ups as well as I have heard they are among the best, we'll jsut have to see.

I thought I would also show you what this bad boy is gonna look like. It willl have the clear pickguard as shown but ALL the hardware will be black. The body will be a premium one peice swamp ash body. Both body and neck are in the works now at USA Custom Guitar. The headstock will be in the same burst finish as well. Tell me what you think of my color scheme:cool2:.
