Upgraded The Blue Hamer Today

Well, actually yesterday and today. Took out the Duncan Designed DD set and put in a Distortion(b) and a 59(n)...both in black. I wanted to go chrome covers, and thought I'd get away with using the chrome covers from the DD set on the new Duncans....wrong. The spacing isn't even close. It's just as well, I don't like the 59(n) anyhow.

Also put on a set of Sperzel locking tuners I got from Scott_F. They are super nice, and the bonus is they had the exact same footprint of the Grover knockoff's that came on it. The guitar isn't worth enough to worry about drilling new tuner holes, but it's nice not to have to. Adusted the action lubed the nut....ect. The only thing I haven't done is set the intonation, because the 59(n) is comming out after only about 20 minutes of playing it. That's annother thread.

This is just a really nice playing and feeling guitar for the $$. I'll stick with the Distortion in the bridge...I need to adjust it more to find the sweet spot.

Yeah...the 59n and DD don't match too well...but I'm fine with my set I guess.

I found my DD sounds best closest to the strings, with the pole pieces maching the radius of the TOM. Have fun with that screamer!
