upgrading bridge/tail piece on a LP

Just curious - I'm in the process of upgrading pretty much everything on my Les Paul Studio but I haven't looked into upgrading the bridge or the stop bar. What are my options? What do you guys use and what do you like? Is there even any reason to change these pieces out? I want to know more about aluminum vs. zinc and about the whole Tone-Pro setup.

Thanks!

Tone Pros is the ONLY way to go. Increases sustain plus the crap doesn't fall apart if you take the strings off. You don't have to worry about resetting your action all the time.

Tone Pros is ONE way to go...not the ONLY way to go. :laugh2:

I'd leave the bridge alone and just go for a featherweight aluminum tailpiece so it sounds just like the tailpiece used by Gibson in the 50's.

$40. for the tailpiece.

The Tone Pros stuff is cool too...but won't give you the tone of a 50's Les Paul. It'll sound like a hotrodded, better than vintage Les Paul.

$40 for gotoh? or some other brand.

How about the other options? Heard cool things about Pigtails. Anybody care to comment?
