USA tele

[12guitdown]

Hi. Ive got a US made Tele and on the neck plate there is a small hole to fit an allen wrench down in there. What is this for?

it's their "micro tilt" feature. You can use that to adjust the neck pitch instead of using a shim.... at least thats what i think it is for

That's how I understand it.

yup! its to set the angle on your neck. dont adjust it unless you need to

I've always been meaning to ask - what is the purpose of shimming a neck? I have no idea. How do you know when you need to do it, and how DO you do it?

here's my advice:
if you don't know what it's for, don't adjust it

if you want to learn what it's for, you might search on Fender's site
