Not very familiar with behinger, but heard awful things when it comes to reliability. I just want something with awesome tone that I can use headphones with. I love the PODxt just way too ex*****ve. I would like to stay under a hundy on this.

How about the new line6 toneport? I heard thats pretty good from reviews I heard so far. It's at a $100, you could go to a local store and try to talk them down under $100.

Re: V-amp2 vs Guitar Port.

I have a pod 2.0 that I use for headphone practice, not as in depth as the podxt but still pretty flexible, you can get them for about £120 over here brand new.

I've got the original Gport and it makes traveling fun!
Off topic, Have heard others who use the port live with midi control- Anyone out there tried this?

Re: V-amp2 vs Guitar Port.

I'm not overly impressed with my V-Amp Pro when it comes to headphones. There just seems to be that disconnect with being able to make it sound right that Line 6 I think got right in the very beginning.

For recording the V-Amp Pro was a killer selection. Tons of options avaiilable and the clarity was there in the playback. Never had any issues with reliability, and I own both the Guitar and Bass ones.

Re: V-amp2 vs Guitar Port.

Well, I can get the "insiders deal" on the both I think. I think the guitar port will be like around 65-70. I just would rather not have to depend on the computer but its not that big of a deal. My dorm room is 6 by 12 feet so not too much movin goin on. I am sick of only having my acoustic up here at school and the Crate is just too big and loud. My brother is taking the Fender twin to chicago that we bought. What headphones are good for under 50 bucks?

Honestly, I can't in good conscious recommend the POS that is a V-amp.

Never use anything Behringer for sound. For controlling things, they're great (floorboards, etc) but for sound? gross.
