I think everyone who comes up with yet another " what gear did EVH use " should be banned from the forum ! :banghead:

Its been like 30 yrs and there are 10 million answers online to the same question yet someone still asks !

werd - actually, the ONLY thing that is preventing the guy from nailing it is his playing.

I said just play the freaking guitar. Sporty Marshall tone, enough mids, right delay, done! The rest is you...

I actually think the 'perfect' playing detracted from the rendition. He'd of gotten further/closer with more attitude and less technique.

I have a Kramer from that era with a Jb in the bridge. Aint no way EVH recorded with a JB in the first 4 albums, as it sounded nothing like EVH.
