Very last poll of mine, final option for warmoth super strat.

My superstrat is a basswood body, H/S/S. It has a really, really nice tone. Nice warmth, but will still allow some high end shimmer. The weight is nice.

It currently has a 59' with 2 vintage flats. I may change that for a Blues TB, but we will see. Basswood is overlooked, but I would not hesitate to build a super strat type guitar out of it.

Thanks jeff, that's quite an endorsement. I knew there had to be something to it since some of the best players in the business choose basswood for their guitars even though they could use anything they wanted.

I'd go with mahogany for sure. Great sounding wood. With a maple neck it'd be a nice happy medium.
