Seymour Def. loves what he does. Hearing him get passionate makes me want to tinker with my guitars further.

I liked the questions asked. Seymour is def. THE knowledge base for this information. Though I can tell that Evan knows the answers to all the questions.

Are you guys all out of SB, CA now? or was this previously filmed?

I'd make a script of the interview and make it a sticky for further consultation, as you've got the answers for 80% of the questions asked here 'bout what makes a p'ups tone. I just LOVED how he talks 'bout magnets and experimentation. I felt just like I've been blessed by God itself! ;)

Good ole Seymour just keeps getting cooler... as if it was humanly possible!

Good stuff. I'm grateful that he has helped educate me and a lot of others about tone. ;)

The factory is in Santa Barbara, CA and all of us live within commuting distance of the factory. That interview was taped during Summer NAMM, which was in Nashville this past summer. It just took awhile to get it edited and uploaded to YouTube.com.

Thanks for watching!

I would love to see SD, Tim Mills of Bare Knuckles, Tom Holmes and a few other top notch pickup guys sitting around and comparing their thoughts. Maybe have them each wind a PAF and explain why they do things the way they do. Wouldn't that be wonderful ?

my favorite guys are jason lollar, lindy fralin, and of course seymour duncan. I don't know how you'd be able to top those three guys, not that Larry diMarzio, etc aren't helpful.

You can literally call and talk to Lindy Fralin directly he actually helped me pick out pickups for my tele and les paul. We were just chatting for a while it's really refreshing.

It was a nice interview Evan. Seymour really impresses me - he just loves tone and he'll talk tone with anyone - anytime really. And boy does he have some great stories and it sometimes seems like he has known everyone at some point - and whether they were famous or just some guy he meet - he always seems to remember names. For instance, when I interviewed him about his visit to the Fender Visitor Center, he mentioned at least 3 dozen names and they weren't all artists, some were just little guitar builders, or employees at Fender, or people he had been introduced to.

Thanks Evan, just curious as I heard Nashville and wondered what special was going on if this was recent.
