Re: Vintage 30 vs G12T- 75
From those 3 (G12M25, G12T-75, G12V30) I'd certainly NOT recommend G12T-75.. Although it does the job for some guys I always remember it as ear-piercing, very bright speaker with almost no mids. I hated it when I played a loud gig and everything that was cutting through the mix were the high frequencies.. On the other hand, they work VERY well under heavy gain - under distortion (and I mean distortion

) they're articulate, don't buzz, act very natural.. + they're good for recording in studio.. Probably a good choice for guys who play a lot of heavy to very heavy stuff, especially with scooped mids
Vintage 30 - like you all said - articulate, middy (but I would not say "mid heavy"), bright but with very nice and balanced high frequencies, tight bass.. Well for me they sound very natural
Greenback - my personal favourite - but if you put 'em in a good cabinet, otherwise it's like the guy who invented fire said, they lack bass.. In a proper cab they sing! Sweet highs, rich mids.. And.. this organic woody sound.. mmm
