Anybody still using one of these in their Les Paul? If not, what did you swap it for? I’ve got one here and wondering how they sound in a LP. Thanks!

One of my favorite DiMarzios. I haven’t used it in a Les Paul, but it should be fine.

Agree with you although the new Gravity Storm I dropped in my Carvin ST 300 ain't bad!!
That's a pickup in particular i always waned to try in the bridge of a Les Paul as they were HUGE sounding very open and organic pickups in the superstrats I had a couple in!! If you decide not to use it hit me i would like another one BTW.

Re: Virtual Hot PAF in a Les Paul

That name is damn confusing... what's so "virtual" about it? Were they trying for a Van Halen acronym, and if so, why not "vintage hot" or "vintage heritage" or something?

Expected it to be a hotrail or stacked single...

^It's got the virtual vintage technology. It's got metal slugs hidden inside the coils to raise (i think?) the inductance and make it warmer without raising the output or something.

Yep. Little iron slugs between the coils.

They modeled the tone of one of Larry’s Les Pauls.
