It just occurred to me that since so much is being done in software these days why not have software that emulates rack equipment. I mean in software you can mix and match different elements of a rack and at the same time get to try out models of all of the popular gear combos!
I'm sure there has to be software out there that does this already. The big question is how well does it work? And is the resulting tone really any good?
